SEASONAL ACTIVITY PUSHES UP HOME PRICES IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY

by RAPB Communications | May 24, 2017

Seasonal activity has pushed the median sale price of single family homes in St. Lucie County up 14.3% to $200,000 compared to last April, while inventory continues to tighten with only 3.7 months’ supply.

“Without additional supply and with the continued high demand, we anticipate home prices to continue to rise,” said John Slivon, President of the Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches (RAPB). “Although interest rates have moved well into the 4.0% range, this does not seem to have impacted the buyer’s ability to afford the current home pricing.”

“With prices rising in St. Lucie County,” added Slivon. “Waiting to purchase a home may not be the best decision, and if one if considering selling, there is plenty of opportunity to find an eager buyer now.”
