April is National Fair Housing Month. It is a month where we recognize that everyone is entitled to safe, clean and affordable housing, no matter what his or her race, religion, color, age, marital status, gender identity or expression.
The Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches and the Palm Beach County Office of Equal Opportunity is proud to provide all Palm Beach County Schools with resources to facilitate discussion and understanding of Fair Housing issues in conjunction with our Fair Housing Poster, Video & Essay Contest.. As an Association that is involved in the real estate and housing industries, we feel that it is our responsibility to educate the public about the fact that it is illegal to discriminate when looking for housing and what someone can do if he or she has been the victim of a Fair Housing violation.
Prizes will be awarded at a reception on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches West Palm Beach classroom.
