Q. What counties does RMLS cover?
A. RMLS primarily covers all of Palm Beach County except for Palm Beach Island, and St. Lucie County. We have data exchange with Martin, Broward and Dade County. That means you can view all listings entered from St. Lucie through Dade County.
Q. How to Join – Agent
A. Once you become established with an office, your next step would be to join the Realtor’s Association (if applicable). Once that is completed you would need to make application with RMLS.
Q. How to Join – Office
A. Once you have been established with DBPR and you determine whether or not you want to become active with the Realtor’s Association you can then establish your office with RMLS. If you do decide you want to be active with a Realtor’s Association you will need to complete that prior to establishing the office with RMLS. Once that is complete you need to make application with RMLS.
Q. How to Join – Secretary / Assistant
A. In order to be a secretary or assistant and have access with RMLS you cannot hold an active license/or it must be placed with a referral office. You then need to fill out the application available on our website under Join / Update. Make sure when you send it the broker has signed off on it, and you also send a copy of your photo id.
Q. How to Transfer
A. You need to obtain a copy of the DBPR RE10 form. If you are active with a Realtor’s Association you need to make sure they’ve received a copy of the DBPR RE10 and that the transfer fee (if applicable) has been paid. Once that is complete a copy of the DBPR RE10 along with the last page of the Subscriber Agreement needs to be sent to RMLS. Once your transfer is complete RMLS will email you confirmation.
Q. How to Reactivate
A. If you have been inactive for more than 1 year then you would start over like a new agent. If you have been inactive for less than 1 year and you’ve already been established with a real estate office you would first reactivate with the Realtors Association (if applicable). Once that is complete RMLS needs a copy of the DBPR RE10 , reinstatement fee, and service fees if applicable.
